A native of Beijing who had been based in Buenos Aires, Vienna and New York City, he is back to his home country after the unforgettable year of pandemic in 2020.
Frank Jin is a Tango DJ/Sound Engineer, Music Collector, Researcher, true Milonguero, Piazzolla aficionado, and fiddler. Along all these drastically different paths, he strove hard with his devotion and was finally able to discover numerous gems he would cherish for the rest of his life and share with friends.
As an established Tango Musicalizer (DJ), Frank Jin has been showcasing his music extensively in 30+ countries and 60+ cities, including legendary milongas in Buenos Aires, countless festivals, marathons and mundials in Asia, Europe and America. He is a fervently sought-after and beloved DJ by organizers and dancers.
He has an almost complete collection of tango CDs and a considerable vinyl and shellac collection. He enjoys comparing versions. His pursuit of high fidelity in sound inherited from the classical music tradition pushes his standards to an extremely high level.
Frank Jin has co-written the book (El Sabor del Tango) with Professor Rubén Pose delving into tango letras and spirituality. His own studies include orquesta genealogies and DJ theories. Occasionally, he offers lectures on these above topics.

Frank Jin found his own tango during his porteño era in Buenos Aires. He won't define it as "Salón" or "Milonguero," but it is distinctly recognizable as his trademark.
Frank Jin deems tango dancing as a "moving inspiration," within which he seeks to break the expressive limitation of words through motional interpretation of music notes.
When Frank Jin was much younger in tango, he was globetrotting incessantly to cities and continents around the world seeking the truth by doing crazy things. Now with an old milonguero soul residing in his heart, he feels inner peace and is happier than ever.
